SERVICES

Audio and Video Tape Enhancement includes specialized signal processing for recovering speech or images masked by distortion or background sounds and includes provision of certified transcripts.

Audio and Video Tape Verification and Authentication includes analysis of tapes to detect splicing, over-recording, or editing of recordings.

Cell Phone / PDA Forensics Analysis for data acquisition and recovery including call logs, photographs, videos, and recordings for subsequent analysis and enhancement.

Voice Comparison Analysis for both identification and elimination of unknown and known exemplars from telephone recordings and other sources. Expert opinion on “ear witness” testimony.

Acoustical Compliance includes assessment of noise in occupational settings, potential impact on hearing loss, and audibility of sirens, alarms, and warning systems.

Audibility Analysis of speech, alarms, sirens, or other sounds at a particular place and time, using standardized acoustical measurements and analysis techniques, and acoustical simulation. In-court audio simulations may also be created and presented.

Specialized Analyses include cell phones, multimedia systems, acoustical simulations and demonstrations, environmental noise analysis, sound monitoring, identification of sound sources, determination of sound source location, and photogrammetry from video sources to assist with subject identification or elimination.

Patent / Intellectual Property analyses for expert opinion on audiovisual technologies and systems.

Acoustical Gunshot Analysis involves the investigation of alleged gunshot recordings to identify weapon type and firing location. Acoustical data can compliment ballistics information to describe the shooting incident.

Computer Forensics involves the recovery, preservation, review, and analysis of digital data on a computer system, portable hard drive, cell phone, or other digital storage device. Tasks may include reviewing files for information of interest (prohibited content, usage patterns, etc.), recovery of deleted or overwritten files, and preservation of files for investigations and audits.

Musicological Forensics involves expert opinion on both the composition and technological production of music-related media for copyright or performance analysis.
