HISTORY & BACKGROUND

Since 1992, when the Audio Forensic Center was acquired by Charles M. Salter Associates, Inc. (CSA), the company has doubled in size and continues to provide a wide variety of audio and video forensic services and expert testimony for attorneys, public defenders, private investigators, law enforcement, and human resource departments.

As a subsidiary of Charles M. Salter Associates, Inc., we are able to draw on the expertise of more than thirty consultants with knowledge in acoustics, engineering, audiovisual system design, and telecommunications. The firm is involved in more than 900 projects annually, providing consulting services in environmental acoustics, architectural acoustics, engineering acoustics, audiovisual system design, acoustical simulation, and expert witness services. The Audio Forensic Center is involved in over 60 cases each year.

The combined resources of AFC's laboratory and CSA's acoustics laboratory with simulation facilities provide state-of-the-art technology for enhancement, authentication, and other forensic services.

The Audio Forensic Center has provided consulting services to private investigators, attorneys, and public defenders for over ten years. We have also been featured on Discovery Channel: Unsolved History programs including Boston Massacre, JFK: Death in Dealey Plaza, and Death of Princess Diana.
